Stora Enso to increase Russian corrugated board capacity

ZAO Stora Enso Packaging, a subsidiary of Stora Enso, is planning to expand the production capacity of its Balabanovo plant in Russia. The plant, which manufacturing corrugated board and boxes, will require an investment of $12.5 million for its expansion and the addition of new converting lines. The expansion is expected to increase the annual converting capacity from 70 million sq meters to 105 million square meters. The new capacity is likely to be operational from March 2002.
