Nov-Reg, the Norwegian manufacturer of case and tray erectors, plans to cut packaging and transport costs by more than 50% by undertaking an integrated approach for the design of transit protection and product presentation. The proposed approach uses a number of solutions to keep low pack volume. The product presentation of bagged sweets and guarantee of pack-count in tray is achieved by switching from hand packing to machine packing.
