The Fall 2002 forest management guidelines training is reported. Forest management and timber harvesting are discussed for protecting site quality. There is a generally good level of understanding among loggers and resource managers about basic implementation of the guidelines. Loggers and resource managers observe that harvesting timber is an activity that impact forests.
