A latest report from independent market analysis company Datamonitor PLC found that the US is the largest sun care market worldwide, with a value of $1.15 billion in 2002. US consumption by 2007 is expected to reach around 100 ml per person. Sun protection products are sold to tourists rather than local residents which distort consumption and expenditure figures.
