Tensile strength of porous metals with high porosity

摘要
Based on the structure feature, a simplified structure model of high porosity metals with three-dimensional reticulated structure has been established, which is the 'octahedron model'. Furthermore, formulas for approximately calculating the tensile strength of these materials have been derived, and the calculation is realized through the porosity. Besides, the application of the formula has been also investigated with the corresponding experiment on a nickel foam.
