Prospects of scientific cooperation of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering and the Russian Scientific Center 'Kurchatovskij Institut'

Academicians E.P. Velikhov and K.V. Frolov marked in April of 2001 the main direction of joint work: development of power mechanical engineering, training of experts, development of the modern databases. The program 'Calculation-experimental substantiation of strength and resource on the parameters of stressed-deformed and limited states of carrying elements of thermonuclear installations under the conditions of combined action of mechanical, thermal and electromagnetic loads' was discussed. The risk level can be reduced from 10-4 to 10-6.
