摘要
In the early 1990s, the Flight Research Laboratory (FRL) of the Institute for Aerospace Research (IAR), National Research Council of Canada (NRC) and CAE, the world's major manufacturer of flight simulators, entered into a series of collaborations to allow CAE to gain insight into the flight testing and aerodynamic model development process. As a result of such collaborations, CAE has been able to develop in-house capabilities to allow for flight test planning, tracking, and execution, as well as data review and quality assessment, and aerodynamic model parameter identification based on flight test data. Future collaborations between NRC and CAE will allow CAE to benefit from NRC's research into improved flight-testing and model development techniques.
