摘要
Lithium-ion battery mainly consists of three parts, namely electrode, separator and electrolyte. As one of the key components of the battery, separator greatly affects comprehensive performance of the battery. Because of the unsatisfactory wettability, poor temperature resistance and low porosity, commercial polyolefin separators are difficult to meet the requirements of high performance lithium ion battery. Consequently, it is in urgent need for the further research and exploration of separator preparation materials and technique. According to the latest research focus of the separator, this article provides a brief review on the research achievements of separator for power/energy storage lithium-ion battery from modification of commercial polyolefin separator, separator preparation by electrospinning and phase separation method. The future development direction of the separator is proposed as well. © 2018, Materials Review Magazine. All right reserved.
