Satcom provider Iridum and technology innovator Impeva Labs have collaborated to provide real-time container monitoring, tracking, and security systems for an ongoing project to Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ). The Global Sentinel module of Impeva, which utilizes the Iridium constellation, is a wireless unit easily mounted within a container, capable of integrating a variety of sensor types and a global positioning system (GPS). The module can process sensor data and event identification. In unison with the Impeva Device Management Center (DVC), the Sentinel provides access to real-time data reports to logistics managers for even the most complex of supply chains.
