摘要
A novel method controlling free surface fluctuation and deformation was presented. The effect of structural and electrical parameters of coils on the distribution regular of electromagnetic force (EMF) was investigated. The behavior of free surface fluctuation and deformation under high-frequency local magnetic field was also observed. The results show that structural parameters of coils determine the distribution form and action region of EMF. The desired EMF distribution may be obtained by rationally designing coil structural parameters. Although the magnitude of EMF is impacted by electrical parameters, current intensity plays a leading role. When the magnetic field imposing on stationary free surface, a deformation depending on the distribution of EMF forms. Besides, the free surface keeps fluctuating with small amplitude due to alternating electromagnetic force. The largest amplitude keeps within ±0.8 mm even if the current intensity reaches 1400 A. When free surface with bulge deformation is subjected to a high-frequency magnetic field, the fluctuation due to that liquid flow and the height of bulge have a decreasing tendency and the free surface tends to smooth and steady. © 2017, Science Press.
