In order to develop a common computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver based on the entropic lattice Boltzmann method(ELBM), a calculation model of the entropic lattice Boltzmann method with large eddy simulation (LES) of standard Smagorinsky subgrid scale turbulence model was established. The effectiveness of the calculation model in simulating high Reynolds number turbulence was also explored. Moreover, a near wall research based on entropic lattice Boltzmann method with large eddy simulation of subgrid scale model was conducted. It is concluded that the entropic lattice Boltzmann method with large eddy simulation can effectively simulate the high Reynolds number turbulence. The Catalano method of near wall treatments is better than the Van Driest method for the calculation of velocity field, and the superiority of the performance of the Van Driest method lies in the consistency of simulations. © 2016, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press.
