Analysis and countermeasures of casing deformation causes in Gangxi Oilfield

Statistics are made on casing deformation classification and form, it is considered that sand production in reservoirs, fault reactivation, mudstone water absorbing and swelling, frequent workover, improper operation, poor quality of cementing are the causes of casing damage, thus countermeasures are suggested for preventing the casing deformation in Gangxi Oilfield on the aspects of sand control and casing string design.
