Study on electroless composite Ni-P-PTFE-SiC plating

On the basis of the electroless composite Ni-P-PTFE plating and Ni-P-SiC plating techniques, the Ni-P-PTFE-SiC composite coatings are obtained successfully. The structure and the surface morphology of the coatings were analyzed. At the same time, the wear resistance and antifriction properties of the coatings were examined. It is found that the composite Ni-P-PTFE-SiC coating has the lowest hardness but the best wear resistance in comparison with Ni-P-PTFE and Ni-P-SiC coatings.
