New Brain Injury Drug will be First of Its Kind to Market

Iselin, N.J.-based Pharmos Corp.'s lead candidate, dexanabinol, a treatment for severe traumatic brain injury, now in late stage of clinical development, has received fast track designation from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The company plans to launch the drug in early 2006 upon final FDA approval. In the US alone, annual market potential for this drug is well over $500 million.
