The overall food safety situation in China is stable and developing to a good direction. But as the food additives have been demonized and food safety problems have caused great harm to the public's mental health, the food safety situation is still grim; the harm extent is no less than the harm to body health. To eliminate the public psychological panic, we need to strengthen the food safety risk assessment, to communicate risk in time, to enhance the science popularization of food safety, to understand the food safety problems scientifically; we need to praise virtue and punish vice simultaneously, regain the good reputation of Chinese cuisine.
