摘要
Manufacturing system's process improvement plays a relevant role in the competitiveness of companies. Industry 4.0 creates some new possibilities for the manufacturing companies with the appearance of cyber-physical systems, the big data concept and spread of the Internet of Things (IoT). This paper gives a detailed review of the fourth industrial revolutions' most important achievements and tools. Furthermore, the most important process improvement trends of manufacturing systems are also outlined for Industry 4.0.
