ASHRAE Building EQ Empowers Schools, Teaches Students

The ASHRAE Building Energy Quotient (Building EQ) platform has been used on a variety of building types worldwide, including office, institutional facilities, colleges, universities and K – 12 schools. This article explains how Building EQ was used as a collaborative tool between an ASHRAE chapter, its local student branch and the local school district to conduct Level 1 Energy Audits compliant with ASHRAE Standard 211-2018, Standard for Commercial Building Energy Audits, and to provide hands-on experience to engineering students.
