摘要
The intermediate coupler buffer device for the EMU is composed of a gas-liquid buffer and an expanding tube. In order to study the dynamic energy absorption characteristics of the intermediate coupler, dynamic tests were carried out with two trolley connected by the intermediate coupler impacting on the rigid wall, with the impact speed of 7.19, 18.7 and 25.7 km/h respectively. The results show that the impedance force of the gas-liquid buffer has obvious dynamic characteristics. The impedance force of the maximum compression stroke increases up to 1500 kN with the increase of the impact speed, which is much higher than the maximum impedance force of 800kN in the static pressure test. Meanwhile, the dynamic impedance force of expanding tube is 1500kN, basically the same as that of static pressure test. At the impact speed of 18.7 km/h and 25.7 km/h, the expanding tube is triggered to crush, when the compression stroke of the buffer reaches 30 mm and the impedance force reaches 1200 kN. Then the buffer will compress together with the expanding tube. © 2020, Department of Journal of the China Railway Society. All right reserved.
