摘要
A large number of distributed power sources are integrated to distribution network, posing challenges to safe and economical operation of distribution network and power quality. Wide-area synchronous phasor measurement technology is one of the main methods to solve related problems effectively. Aiming at the problem of real-time data communication of wide-area measurement system (WAMS) integrated into distribution network, this paper discusses the communication performance and characteristics of different types of communication access methods, and presents the delay requirements in communication application of distribution network WAMS. The communication advantages, disadvantages and technical specifications of optical fiber Ethernetpassive optical network(EPON) and 4G LTE 230MHz power wireless private network are presented. Relevant factors for selection of access mode in different distribution networks with WAMS applications are given. Adaptability of WAMS communication in distribution network and economy of different access modes are analyzed. Finally, the application prospect of 5G mobile communication technology in distribution network communication is prospected. Thispaper provides a reference for communication planning and design of distribution network. © 2019, Power System Technology Press. All right reserved.
