摘要
This paper focuses on the application of magnetic bearing in the vibration control of ship propulsion system. Firstly, the research and application development and current technical ability of magnetic bearing were briefly introduced. With the development of magnetic bearing and the urgent need of the vibration control of ship propulsion system, the application of magnetic bearing in vibration control of ship propulsion system becomes possible. The technical status and advantages of the application of magnetic bearings in the ship propulsion system were discussed. The vibration control effect of magnetic bearings was verified by test. Finally, the application status of magnetic bearing in vibration control of marine propulsion shafting was summarized, and the key development direction of magnetic bearing was proposed. © 2022, Editorial Board of Journal of Ship Mechanics.
