Impact of nanoparticle shapes on non-darcy porous medium

The focus of this study is to see how nanoparticle shape affects, mixed convective flow along a vertical impermeable wall in a non-Darcy porous medium. The temperature maintained at the wall is constant and the ambient temperature is far from the wall. The two different nanoparticles Fe3O4 (Ferrous) and Al2O3 (Non Ferrous) as well as the water is taken as a base fluid. The two different shapes of nanoparticles considered here are blade and brick. The partial differential equations are solved numerically using the shooting technique employing local similarity transformations. Between the previously published paper and the current findings, there is a favourable correlation. Graphically depicted are the impacts of various nanoparticles and their shapes on velocity, temperature, and heat transfer. It has been discovered that blade shaped nanoparticles have a higher velocity than brick shaped particles. As a comparison of heat transfer in Darcy and non-Darcy flows for different volume fractions is investigated. © 2021 Elsevier Ltd
