摘要
The grounding fault of DC power grid will lead to converter blockade, fault area expanding. The configuration of DC current limiter and DC circuit breaker is a general solution to the above problem. In this paper, a multi-port DC current limiting circuit breaker is designed for HVDC power grid with two sets of coupled inductors. This equipment consists of three parts: primary current limiter, fault isolation current limiter and drainage branch. The former two parts are connected in series in each line of the same DC bus, and the drainage branch is the common part of each DC line. The switching devices of the different parts can improve their economy by cooperating with each other and borrowing from each other. A model of Zhangbei four-terminal DC power grid is built on PSCAD simulation software and compared with several other existing schemes. The results show that the current limiting circuit breaker proposed in this paper can complete the relevant actions of power electronic devices within 6ms with low impact voltage to each switch group. If it is applied to N-port DC bus, only (26n+502) switch groups are needed, which has high economy. © 2020, Power System Technology Press. All right reserved.
