The multi-terminal flexible distribution switch (FDS) is used as a device for real-time power regulation, which is beneficial to the operation optimization of the active distribution network (ADN). Based on the topology and operational mathematical model of distribution network with FDS, a dynamic operation optimization model for active and reactive power coordination of distribution network with FDS is established, in which a multi-time-scale active and reactive dispatching architecture is constructed, taking optimal loss and voltage balance as objective function, considering system security and cross-section action limits as operation constraints. In order to improve the solution efficiency and relaxation precision of multi-cross-section power flow model, a solution optimization method for second-order cone programming and nonlinear programming models is proposed, and the test results are obtained by using solution toolbox SCIP and other algorithm packages. Finally, based on the actual engineering data, the simulation test is carried out in the ADN with three-terminal FDS. The results show the positive effects of FDS on power quality improvement, operation strategy optimization and intelligent distribution of power flow in ADN. The optimization stability and computation efficiency of the proposed method are verified as well. © 2020 Automation of Electric Power Systems Press.
