摘要
In the environment of strong friction and corrosion, iron-based amorphous coatings can provide protection for steel equipment. However, there is still no effective method of non-destructive testing and evaluation for the quality of iron-based amorphous coatings. A high frequency ultrasound detection and evaluation method for coating quality was proposed for requirements of coating quality detection. The high-frequency ultrasonic scanning for the information of iron-based amorphous coatings by high-velocity oxygen-fuel (HVOF) was completed through establishing a three-axis ultrasonic scanning system firstly. Then the mother wave packet was designed to deal with the mixing interface echo in the signals, and the detection signals were processed with convolution, wave packet decomposition, and narrow pulse substitution in turn, each interface echo can be separated and extracted and the detection signal-to-noise ratio would be improved. Finally, the reconstructed signals were imaged for visual observation of coating thickness and quality. And the relative error is 3.2% compared with the results of Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). © 2021, Editorial Office of Journal of Vibration and Shock. All right reserved.
