During the process of plate production, the controllable cooling process is an important step to improve the performance of the steel plate, and the uniform cooling of the whole plate is the key problem to be solved. In this paper, based on the numerical calculation of fluid dynamics, aiming at five-section and round nozzle cooling plate-header coolers, the internal flow field of the header and the outlet flow of each nozzle were analyzed and the distribution law of the nozzle outlet flow was analyzed under the different inlet schemes, such as the bottom water inlet of the header tank, the middle side single inlet and the middle double inlet water. The results show that the improved flow distribution of the two inlet nozzles can meet the requirement of the convexity of the nozzle outlet flow, which is the damping plate bottom water inlet header and the undamped plate water tank middle double inlet header. This study can provide theoretical basis and reference for the design of header in cooling equipment. © 2019, Science Press. All right reserved.
