摘要
Mobile health applications (mHealth apps) have created a new social context in clinical diagnosis processes. We examine mHealth apps for medical practitioners and explore app feature trustworthiness, quality, and popularity. We observe moderate levels of reliability and quality in existing mHealth apps, with room for improvement. Our findings show that apps with more features score higher in quality, especially those with credible sources, feedback opportunities, and how to use instructions. App development from credible sources increases trustworthiness. We provide useful recommendations to health professionals, app developers, and policy makers. © 1973-2011 IEEE.
