摘要
By using an electro-hydraulic servo test system, tests for shear behaviors of 18 reinforced concrete (RC) beams at different loading rates were conducted with monotonic loading mode of displacement control. Loading rates were 3.5×10-4 m/s, 3.5×10-2 m/s and 3.5×10-1 m/s, respectively, and effects of loading rate on failure mode and load-displacement curve of RC beams were mainly observed. The test results indicated that with increase in loading rate, failure modes of beams have changes from shear failure of longitudinal tensile reinforcements before yield to their bending-shear failure, and distribution of cracks also has changes; the material strain rate effect is the main reason why shear-bearing capacity of beams increases with increase in loading rate, while the inertia effect can be neglected. Combining the shear test results of 54 beams conducted by scholars abroad, it was shown that the shear-bearing capacity's increasing of beams with smaller shear span ratio is more significant than that of beams with larger shear span ratio during loading rate rising; the increase amplitude of beams' shear-bearing capacity decreases with increase in stirrup ratio in general. © 2019, Editorial Office of Journal of Vibration and Shock.
