摘要
The anthracite was respectively replaced with pine charcoal and bituminous coal for the blending and comparison combustion experiments. Based on the colour image thermometry method, the combustion temperature, combustion rate and other characteristics were analyzed. Firstly, the characteristics of volatile fraction and coke burning time of mixed fuel particles were compared between bituminous coal and pine charcoal at the same blending ratio. Secondly, the maximum temperatures of the mixed fuel particles in different phases at different pine charcoal blending ratios were compared. Thirdly, the average temperature variation with time during the combustion process of mixed fuel particles was investigated separately for different pine charcoal blending ratios. The results show that at the same blending ratio, the overall combustion rate of the mixed fuel blended with pine charcoal was higher. The overall combustion time is the lowest when the pine charcoal blending ratio is 50%, which is 289 s. The maximum temperatures at the volatile combustion stage are 1 263, 1 252 and 1 236 K for blends with 30%, 50% and 70% pine charcoal blending ratios, respectively, which suggests that increasing the pine charcoal blending ratio decreases the combustion temperature of the blends. When the pine charcoal blending ratio is 30%, the average temperature of the mixed fuel is 1 210 K. When the pine charcoal blending ratio is 70%, the average temperature of the mixed fuel is 1 151 K in 53 s, and the average temperature increases rapidly to 1 248 K after 90 s. Therefore, the pine charcoal in the mixed fuel has two effects on the anthracite, namely, the oxygen-capture and synergistic combustion. When the pine charcoal blending ratio is 30%, the average temperature is the highest and the combustion is stable, which is the best mixing ratio. © 2023 Central South University of Technology.
