摘要
In order to improve the seismic performance and safety of buildings in high intensity area, national and local governments have promulgated a series of policies, encouraging the utilization of seismic isolation and energy dissipation technologies. This paper takes an exhibition hall located in Yunnan province as an example, proposes a kind of seismic isolation system combined with energy-dissipation technology, and adopts this system for engineering design in China. This paper analyzes both the seismic efficiency of the system and the structural seismic performance under rare earthquakes. The analysis results indicate that the system has great seismic efficiency and the superstructure of the system remains elastic under rare earthquakes, showing great seismic performance. Besides, this paper proposes a superposition analysis method for designing the system.According to the calculation results, the superposition method provides safe results for design. Finally, this paper proposes the design process of superposition analysis method for the system, which can be used as a reference for similar engineering cases. © 2019, Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures.
