摘要
The recycling of carbon fibers (CF) requires a controlled alignment of fibers as long as possible in the component. This goal was pursued with the textile development of hybrid staple fiber yarns made of recycled CF (rCF) and PA 6 fibers, which were further processed to non-crimp-fabrics to be pressed to organic sheets. Although the rCF form an organic sheet with quasi-continuous reinforcement in the molten state, during thermoforming, a plastic deformation similar to the deep-drawing process can be realized. The effect of the plastic deformability of staple fiber reinforced polymer composites (SFRPC) was analyzed in tempered tensile tests. © Carl Hanser Verlag GmbH & Co. KG.
