摘要
Hemispherical resonator gyroscope (HRG) in rate integrating mode has many advantages, such as large input rate range, wide bandwidth and excellent scale factor performance. But the circumferential drift of standing wave and drift instability, which results from damping anisotropic and damping changing over temperature and ageing, limits its engineering applications. In order to reduce the influence of the drift, a real-time self-calibration method based on 2-D oscillator and control model of HRG is proposed through combining periodic self-precession and frequency modulation to realize real-time parameter identification, circumferential drift compensation and rotation rate computation. The 20 hours experiment results of self-calibration HRG in rate integrating mode show that average bias from startup is 0.06 º/h 2 hours after power on, and is better than 0.018 º/h 10 hours after power on. The experiment results show that bias is no longer influenced by circumferential drift, and the long-term performance of HRG is greatly improved. © 2023 Editorial Department of Journal of Chinese Inertial Technology.
