摘要
Isolate isotactic polypropylene (iPP) spherulites were chosen as candidate. After partially melted between nominal melting point and equilibrium melting point,iPP melt' s crystalline morphologies were investigated by polarized optical microscopy (POM) under quiescent and flow conditions. The results of quiescent crystallization experiments show that the melt memory effect exists obviously and gradually decreases with the increase of melting temperature. The crystallization experiment results under flow show that the ordered structure (self seed), which survives in the partially melted iPP, can change its original spatial distribution along the predetermined route under flow, and significantly accelerate the crystallization process. This result can provide a new idea for regulating melt structure and crystalline morphology of crystalline polymer. © 2022, Editorial Board of Polymer Materials Science & Engineering.
