摘要
The largest jump height of a conductor following ice shedding is closely related to the location of partial shedding and its shedding rate. In order to design a reasonable electrical insulation gap, it is necessary to accurately estimate its ice shedding induced jump height. The existing jump height calculation method takes into account the partial shedding effect, but the partial shedding effect factor can not be evaluated accurately, and the line designed in this way has certain hidden safety hazards. Therefore, the nonlinear finite element method was applied to the analysis of ice shedding induced jump height of transmission lines, and the sensitivity of jump height to the change of ice shedding rate was investigated by changing parameters of ice thickness, span length, height difference, number of span, initial tension and ice shedding mode. On this basis, the variation law of the partial shedding effect factor m withr different parameter combinations was analyzed. The calculation formula of the factor m was proposed based on the least squares method. The results show that the effect of shedding rate on the jump height of the conductor depends largely on the ice thickness, span length, number of span and shedding mode, while it is less affected by the change of height difference and initial tension. The factor m mainly depends on the shedding rate, while it is negligibly affected by the change of other parameters. The proposed method can be used to accurately calculate the jump height of a conductor following ice shedding. © 2022 Central South University of Technology. All rights reserved.
