Existing methods on site selection do not meet today's requirements sufficiently. This paper presents a systematic and quantitative approach to databased site selection, which makes it possible to increase the quality of decision-making and the transparency of the decision-making process by individually incorporating various economic and infrastructural data as well as information on foreign direct investments and other indicators. © 2022 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston, Germany.
