Parametric sensitivity of aircraft landing gear shimmy stabilization is studied by using a shimmy analytical model. The maximum critical anti-shimmy damping coefficient is determined in all speed range during taxiing. The Taguchi method is used to find the controllable factors of the maximum critical damping. The orthogonal experiments are carried out to analyze the sensitivity of these factors to the maximum critical damping. At last, an aircraft landing gear is adopted to verify the present method. The results show that the proposed sensitivity analysis is reliable and effective. © 2020, Nanjing Univ. of Aeronautics an Astronautics. All right reserved.
