We have developed the K-type braced shear wall that has superior performance for application to middle or large scale wooden structures, and verified its seismic performance. For the brace, the buckling restrained brace was used to restraint buckling by sandwiching flat steel with wood. As a result, it was confirmed that the K-type braced shear wall has a high energy absorption effect due to its spindleshaped hysteresis characteristic. It was also confirmed that the standard shear strength is 34.8 kN, which is equivalent to 17.8 times wall magnification. © 2022 Architectural Institute of Japan. All rights reserved.
