摘要
Wave energy converter, aiming to convert mechanical energy from ocean waves into electrical energy, has fast developed in recent couple years. Varieties of wave energy techniques including different mechanical designs as well as control strategies were proposed and investigated. This paper reviewed the state-of-the-art on the linear generator based wave energy converters, providing summaries of the hydrodynamic theories, classification on linear generators, power system integration designs and descriptions on the wave energy farm. Furthermore, comparisons were performed among different designs with discussions on advantages as well as drawbacks. © 2019 Chin. Soc. for Elec. Eng.
