摘要
The traditional welding connections between the brace and the frame in a concentrically braced frame (CBF) are easy to be damaged by brittle failure at the beam-column region, which makes the brace lose its energy-dissipation capacity. To solve the above problem, six sets of prefabricated buckling-restrained braces with end ductile casting connectors which can be connected with the frame using bolts were designed and tested under low cyclic reversed loading. The failure mode, stress distribution and hysteretic performance of the specimens were studied. The results show that the specimens have great bearing capacity and energy dissipation performance. It can achieve the 'two-stage' energy dissipation characteristic by locating inelastic deformation in the ductile casting connectors before the story drift ratio reaches 1/100 and then relying on BRB for energy dissipation, and the maximum story drift ratio of the frame can reach 1/39. The buckling-restrained brace with end ductile casting connectors connected with frame by bolts can relieve the stress distribution in the beam-column region. Furthermore, the ductile casting connectors and the BRB can be assembled and replaced after an earthquake. © 2022, Editorial Office of Journal of Building Structures. All right reserved.
