摘要
When the line fails in the power system and the main protection does not act, it calls this situation miss-operation. The system will pay the price for the main protection’s refusal. This paper proposes an analytical model considering the main protection range of the three-stage line protection, avoiding the above situation and accurately judge the action of the main protection. The model divides the line into three parts and refines the logical expressions of the protection actions of these three parts based on range of the main protection at the both ends of the line. Then a complete analytical model is described combined with the model of bus and transformer. Using to simulate and verify the actual fault cases in the power grid by the improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. This paper proves that the model is able solve the problem effectively the problem as well as realizes the accurate diagnosis of the power system faults. © 2023 Power System Technology Press.
