To study the overall working performance of assembled L-shaped cross-section sandwich composite shear wall joints, two types of specimens were designed, including annular horizontal reinforcement connection specimens and horizontal through reinforcement connection specimens. The working state, damage mechanism, hysteresis performance, stiffness degradation and energy dissipation of the specimens were investigated in detail, and the ductility of the specimen was evaluated. The results show that the specimens have typical bending-shear failure, mainly concentrated on the web foot concrete was cracked or crushed, the reinforcement was elongated or bent. Through comparative analysis found that the cracking, yielding, peak load and corresponding deformation of the ring-shaped horizontal reinforcement connection specimens were substantially improved, Through the evaluation of energy dissipation performance, consistent conclusions were drawn, etc. It indicates that the ring-shaped reinforcement can effectively enhance the connection between web and concealed column, flange and concealed column, which improves the seismic capacity of the specimens comprehensively. © 2022 Editorial Office of China Civil Engineering Journal.
