Since the parametric level set method can be used to obtain the characteristics of the clear boundary of the structural contour, a new boundary search method capable of seanning the shaded area was proposed to achieve topology optimization of underwater pressure structure design under the hydrostatic pressure loads, which is based on the parameterized level set method obtained by radial basis function interpolation. In this paper, the optimal design of underwater pressure structures under different boundary constraints was studied by using the structural compliance minimization as the objective function and the structural volume fraction as the design constraint, and the Lagrange multiplier was also improved. The optimization results show that this method can deal with the topology optimization of underwater pressure structures under complex boundary conditions, such as multiple intersecting spherical pressure hull. It is of engineering application value for the exploration of new underwater pressure structures. © 2022, Editorial Board of Journal of Ship Mechanics. All right reserved.
