摘要
Deep removal of organic sulfur from high-sulfur natural gas is a severe challenge to high-sulfur natural gas purification plants as the state requires for higher quality of natural gas entering into long-distance transmission pipelines. To investigate the quality upgrading of product gas and meet related national standards, Sulfinol-X desulfurization process was applied in a certain domestic high-sulfur natural gas purification plant. The influence of piperazine concentration in Sulfinol-X desulfurization solution on commercial gas quality, flash gas composition, acid gas composition and tail gas SO2 emission concentration was evaluated. Sulfinol-X desulfurization solution efficiently removed sulfocompounds, i.e., H2S, COS, mercaptan and CS2 from natural gas, to meet the requirement that the total sulfur content of commercial natural gas shall not be higher than 20 mg/m3. Sulfinol-X solution was not CO2 selective, as it removes CO2 completely in the process of deep organic sulfur removal. Sulfinol-X solution reduced CO2 content and total sulfur content of flash gas, to significantly improve the quality of flash gas. When Sulfinol-X desulfurization process and standard SCOT tail gas treatment process were applied in a high-sulfur natural gas purification plant, the SO2 emission concentration of tail gas was not higher than 400 mg/m3, satisfying the latest environmental requirements.
