A reference framework for collaborative design and manufacturing based on models, data, and knowledge was established for the requirement of process collaboration, data collaboration, knowledge collaboration in the process of R&D and manufacturing of industrial products, which showed a novel idea about the top-level design of collaborative design and manufacturing. The model, data and knowledge resources in the process of collaborative design and manufacturing were clarified. An architecture of networked collaborative platform based on IoT integration platform, cloud-based big data platform, knowledge collaboration platform and collaborative service platform was built. The collaborative protocol based on the whole life cycle of design and manufacturing was designed, and the model, data and knowledge collaborative integration model were constructed. The design and manufacturing collaborative application based on model, data and knowledge was given and the demonstration was carried out in an automobile transmission enterprise. The results turned out to be nice, which proved the feasibility of the framework. © 2019, Editorial Department of CIMS. All right reserved.
