摘要
It is of great importance to assess the safety of high strength pressure structures containing crack defects under hydrostatic internal pressure. Firstly, a SINTAP-FAD safety assessment method for high strength pressure structures containing crack defects was established based on the concept of failure assessment diagram(FAD) and the structural integrity assessment procedure (SINTAP). The principle of SINTAP, the experimental determining methods of material parameters and the calculation methods for fracture mechanics parameters and collapse load of cracked structures were introduced thoroughly. Then, the level 0 and level 3 failure assessment curves for high strength steel structures were obtained by the SINTAP procedure and the material parameters determined experimentally. Finally, the safety of the cracked ring-stiffened cylindrical shell was evaluated by the established SINTAP-FAD procedure. The results show that the established SINTAP-FAD method is an effective approach for safety evaluation of high strength pressure structures under internal pressure. © 2023 China Ship Scientific Research Center.
