摘要
Vanadium dioxide (VO2) is a common inorganic, nonmetallic material. It has a reversible phase transition from an insulator monoclinic phase to a metallic tetragonal phase at a critical temperature of 68 ℃. After the phase transition, its physical properties, such as resistivity and infrared transmittance, will be modified. The reversible phase transition properties and relatively simple response mode make VO2 a prospective candidate for the fabrication of novel smart devices. However, reviews on the synthesis mechanism and hydrothermal preparation of vanadium dioxide are limited. Therefore, by summarizing the work of hydrothermal preparation of vanadium dioxide in recent years, this paper introduces and summarizes the preparation of VO2(M) using one-step and two-step methods, respectively, with an objective to develop the hydrothermal preparation of VO2(M) powder. © 2023 Editorial Board of Journal of Harbin Engineering.
