摘要
In this text we propose, from the perspective of political ecology, a critical reflection on the commodification of nature that has accompanied the implementation of sustainable development. To this end, we refer to the process of privatization of the "aquatic resources", water and fish in Mexico, to benefit the oil industry and to the detriment of artisanal fisheries in the gulf of Mexico. Thus we suggest moving towards environmental justice as a measure to stop it. We start by considering the physical and symbolic dimensions of nature as those that configure the human relationship with it.
