摘要
Implementing second-harmonic and sum-frequency generation processes with a specially oriented sample, we determine the magnitude and sign of the nonlinear optical coefficients d11, d22, and d31 of the recently developed trigonal BaGa2GeS6. We conclude that it is a viable alternative to the widely used chalcopyrite AgGaS2 for 1 mu m pumped frequency downconversion to the mid-IR spectral range. (c) 2024 Optica Publishing Group.
