摘要
Beta-amino alcohol derivatives have attracted significant attention in medicinal chemistry due to their broad therapeutic applications. This review provides a comprehensive analysis of the synthesis methodologies and therapeutic potential of n-amino alcohol derivatives, highlighting their role in treating various diseases such as malaria, bacterial infections, cancer, tuberculosis, and Alzheimer's disease. This review critically evaluates the various synthetic methodologies used in the preparation of these compounds. Additionally, the therapeutic efficacy of these compounds is discussed, with a focus on their mechanisms of action across different disease models.The analysis reveals that n-amino alcohol derivatives exhibit strong antimalarial activity by inhibiting Plasmodium species, potent antibacterial effects against resistant strains like Staphylococcus aureus, and significant antiproliferative activity in cancer cells. Moreover, their potential as anti-tuberculosis agents through inhibition of N-acetyltransferase and as multifunctional agents for Alzheimer's disease treatment is explored. This review aims to serve as a valuable resource for researchers, providing a solid foundation for future advancements in the synthesis and application of n-amino alcohol derivatives in medicine.
