摘要
We performed powder X-ray diffraction and electrical resistivity measurements under high pressure for RuX3 (X = Br and I) with a honeycomb structure. Three phases exist in the pressure-temperature - temperature (P-T) phase diagram of RuBr3: an insulating ideal honeycomb phase at 0 < P < 4 GPa; a zigzag-chain bond phase with an enhanced insulating behavior at 4 < P < 10 GPa; and a low resistivity amorphous phase at 10 < P < 18 GPa. Three phases were also observed in the P - T phase diagram of RuI3: 3 : a semimetallic ideal honeycomb phase at 0 < P < 7 GPa; a semimetallic zigzag-chain bond phase at 7 < P < 14 GPa; and a dimer bond phase with a temperature-independent resistivity at 14 < P < 30 GPa.
