This work is a journey through the figure of the Argentine teacher, critic and editor Susana Zanetti. In his extensive career, which is reflected in his classes, a couple of books (La La dorada garra de la lectura-2002- which can be pointed out as his legacy), many prologues to various publications and conference articles, he deployed the topics that challenged her: Latin American literature, the construction of the canon, the figure of the library, the dissemination of literature, without forgetting the central place that teaching has for the formation of new readers (teaching beyond the classroom). Furthermore, the objective is to give an account of her relationship with literary theory, her question about what criterion or concept to consider (she deploys that of "religion") to analyze and collaborate in the formation of a Latin American literature. It is highlighted that the critical system that he deployed constantly dialogues with Henriquez Urena and Angel Rama, with the objective, furthermore, of constituting continental literary criticism.
